This is just a quick post on how I combined some of the techniques I have written about (references below) and applied them towards the YM contract.
The number sequence off the spring equinox and the Moon Venus delination had me looking for a change in trend around 7/1 or 7/2. This proved to be fairly accurate. I then applied the AAE levels to find support and resistance levels. The 7/9 date marks another Moon Venus dec. and thus ends the validity off these AAE levels.
All in all I was pleased with the results.

Hi Joe,

Very interesting posts. Looking for the basis of your numbers sequences and AAE, I've combed through 20 pages of your posts (kinda slow night in Chicago Some very interesting and unique research to say the least. I never found the basis and principle for your Gerbino series. Do you share it or is it proprietary? What is expanded in astro expansion? From your charts, the series with 1.51 and.98 and also seem to have a lot of validity.

Also, off the present target, I've seen your "Columbus natal" and other natals. Having gotten a ton from Blackjet on the natal at the PowerUser Conference, I've put a few hours each day into the natal over the last few months and have some great results. However, you have some great results with combos I have not seen before. Can I ask how you get the 47/5.49 and 32/1.8 harmonic series? In the example I saw you did not use the ascendant and used Chicago for the Columbus. Can you elaborate? If you consider these proprietary and can't answer I undertsand- just thought I'd ask. Thanks,

DR

    Hi DR,

I have had some slow (and long) nights myself so know where your coming from. A lot of my work I do consider proprietary and really don’t delve into. As a matter of fact there are times where I will write about the solution but not the thought process that got me there. However lets see if I can answer some of your questions.
I have studied various forms of science and ancient cultures among other things, and all have influenced me to one degree or another as a trader. One area of study that had a significant influence on me as a trader was that of the Mayan. Their culture, their math, their astronomy, and their calendar. The Gerbino sequence came about from these studies. It’s why Venus places a significant role (along with the moon) in my astro work, though naturally not the only thing I consider. In fact in early May I was going to do a lengthy post on the Transit of Venus across the Sun. I had researched it extensively and came up with what I thought at least, was fascinating results. Time as usual was my enemy and I never got around to it. However if you (or anyone else who is reading) want to take a look at it I would definitely encourage you to do so. In fact I’ll give you a hint, think the number 54
So what is expanded in the AAE? First let me give you some background into what the AAE , and it’s cousin, VAE are.  The idea first came to me about 8 years ago when I was studying value area analysis and came up with the VAE, Value Area Expansion. The idea was simple, disregard the noise above and below value and multiply by expansion ratios at a new beginning point. Sort of like using the Fib extension tool. Then when I started using W59 in early ’04 I came up with AAE. The idea behind it was to look at a market after it had been influenced by a particular astro event believing it left a residual signature which in turn would, or at least could, influence the market after the astro event is over. The choice of expansion as part of the indicator description was probably a poor one but it’s what I coined way back when. The indicator itself is of course nothing more then a shell and can be used or changed in a variety of ways. One way is as I described in the other post. I take the Value Area over the observed period, apply the expansion factors and add them to the market close at the end of the astro event. More or less the marriage of two techniques … astro analysis and value area analysis. However, we could drop the value analysis completely and just try using the range of price over the observed period. Or perhaps we can use the square root of range if we a looking at a lengthy observation (I actually use this with very good results).  What about changing the expansion factors themselves. Perhaps you have better ones. Though I have to admit to having a lot of confidence in the ones I presented in these posts.
Finally as to the Natal. I more or less regard the logic to the settings there as proprietary also. However the date itself started out as a lark when I had one of those “slow nights” in New York. Though it may have started that way I remember I rode that forecast to some mighty good profits. Additionally it got me thinking in different terms.
I no longer restricted myself to first trade dates. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with them they are not necessarily the whole story. I hate to use the tired cliché of “Think outside the box” but believe it apropos. It’s also what I was trying to do tonight but had to call it quits (at least for now) in an attempt to save my sanity. (See chart below.) I have been working on it for over 6 months and results are good but something is wrong. It doesn’t answer two separate questions. What they are I’m not going to say but whoever wants to use this in their work is more then welcome to. It’s a weekly ZB chart with the number sequence and price modulations I have written about in the past. Gfish had the time sequence figured out in no time flat. Smart guy that G.
Well DR, I hoped this  helped answer some of your questions and sorry if I rambled a bit. I have been taking some pain meds for kidney stones (6 in all) that might have me a bit off my game tonight. Fortunately for me they are getting blasted on Thursday!
    Joe

Meant to post this the other night but simply forgot. Values should be good through 7/29. Will be glad to answer any questions but might not get around to them for a little while as I'm getting those damn kidney stones blasted tomorow.
